In this workshop with Rosanna Martin you will learn how to find and process clay and create your own clay brick using traditional techniques.
Join us on Monday 2 September to hear Rosanna Martin talk about how to practically find and process clay dug up from the ground. She will talk about the recent Brickfield project in Cornwall – a community arts project run by herself and Georgia Gendall that looks at the by-products left from Cornwall’s china clay processing industry and considers how this residue might be used today to create a unique clay body specific to that landscape and its history. In the afternoon she will run a workshop using some of the processing and brick making techniques.
