Open School East is located at 39 Hawley Square, next to the Job Centre. To reach OSE from Margate train station, turn right as you leave the station and follow the main road along the beach. As you reach the roundabout by the clock tower, continue straight onto the main road going up the hill. You’ll see the cafe Kabuki on your left, continue onwards. You will pass the high street on the right and the pedestrian shopping street, ‘The Centre’, and soon will reach the modern brick building where Kent County Council Library is. Turn right here and continue down this road until you reach Open School East on your right.

The building is currently accessible by stairs only, but we are working hard to turn the building into a fully accessible space.

OSE is easily accessible via the local bus service called the LOOP. You can find a timetable here. The nearest bus stop to OSE is Cecil Street, with stops located outside the Council Offices and Costcutter, depending on which direction you are travelling.
