Gameplay #2: Create VR and Augmented Realities with Sian Fen
This is the second of a series of 3 of game design workshops in October. You can attend one or all.
Explore the possibilities of immersive technologies VR and AR with artist Sian Fan.
Begin creating Virtual Worlds using Unity, that can be developed into complex digital environments or interrupt physical reality by overlaying augmented elements over the real world. The workshop will look at the potential for creating interactive experiences that immerse an audience using Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.
Sian Fan is an emerging artist working in digital media, installation and performance, and is currently studying a Fine Art Masters at Central Saint Martins.
She works with movement, the female body and technology to explore and expose what it means to exist, both physically and spiritually. Drawing on her background in contemporary dance, she creates choreography that fragments and abstracts the body, as a meditation on the complexity and ambiguity of existence. She explores the relationship between the natural and the digital through 3D scanning, animation and virtual reality. She is interested in transcendent and immersive experiences and attempts to crystallize such moments within her works.
