TID, theatre-maker
‘Movement is more than just a matter of covering the distance between points A and B. The important thing is how the distance is covered.’ ― Jacques Lecoq
Led by Tid, this workshop offers participants practical techniques and creative ideas on how to use movement in order to communicate something of meaning. The session welcomes people from any discipline (including those who don’t see themselves as performers).
Tid is a theatre-maker. He trained at East 15 Acting School and later with a Lecoq-based theatre company. He has trained intensely in the teachings of physical theatre, visual storytelling, movement and techniques inspired by Jacques Lecoq. He was artistic director at Fairground, a director at Bristol Old Vic (2005 – 2011), artistic director of Lakeside Theatre and a Clore Leadership Fellow. He now helps run The Theatre Making Place.
Workshop programmed by Charlie George.
