Join designer Yemi Awosile for this public mark-making workshop on Thursday 25 July, 1-2.30pm.
Build up a personal narrative using layers of print applied to fabrics. Create your own motifs and labels using graphic patterns and mark-making. Explore ideas through experimental compositions to produce a personal response to surface design.
There will be 3 of these workshops, taking place on 4, 11 and 25 July. These workshops are self-contained so there is no need to attend all 3, and you don’t need to have previous experience or existing skills in printmaking to take part.
These workshops will inform Yemi’s research for Printed Whispers, this year’s alumni commission as part of Margate Now festival.
