In the distance between the hotel and the awaiting cab stationed on the streets of Stockholm sometime in November 2013, David Medalla told us that “art history is an oscillation between gossips and polemics”.

Programmed by Christian Nyampeta, Manoeuvres are monthly conversations with artists returning from their travels. The artists gather with peers and present their recent findings, ongoing dealings and forthcoming movings.

The first edition brings together the initiator of the series along with Emma Wolukau-Wanambwa, an artist who works in media ranging from installation, sound, video and drawing.
