Headless is a delirious ramble through the world of offshore finance. The ghostwriter John Barlow is hired by an eccentric Swedish artist duo called Goldin+Senneby to investigate Headless Ltd, an offshore firm registered in the Bahamas. Barlow happily agrees to write up his investigation as a mystery novel, to be published under the name K. D. But before long Barlow is implicated in the decapitation of a police officer in Nassau, and his novel becomes a matter of life and death. The more he struggles to figure out what is happening, and to turn his findings into a coherent plot, the further he slips into the dark world of covert capitalism.

With novelist Ned Beauman, literary scholar Nicky Marsh and economic geographer Angus Cameron for a selection of readings and a conversation moderated by theorist Andrea Phillips.

Headless by K.D. is published by Sternberg Press.
