[vibrating speaker on a glass belljar]
Installation view of Stint V at Once More With Feeling curated with Angelica Sule 2022

Rosemary is an artist and musician who works between sound, moving image and writing. Through their performance identity stead, Rosemary draws from a broad range of musical influences, to create intimate sound worlds as a way of deconstructing and indexing hazy experiences.

Rosemary uses composition and installation to explore contradicting feelings around instability, surrendering to feelings of flux and the ways in which stability is mapped onto banal things, people and places.

sometimes sits in the cloche jar as a little emotional artefact. The piece is informed by electronic influences and the potential of the voice as a mediator between intimate and cinematic feelings. By using glitch beats from original sampling, acoustic instruments and synths, the piece shifts from textures of glass and gristle into the ecstatic, with fleeting moments of clarity.

Rosemary is very grateful for her collaborators on this project.
