Storytelling: Spark London
All friends of Open School East are invited to the Hackney Picturehouse for a night of stories on the theme of Borders. The stories will be told by Open School East associates, participants and other members of the local community or maybe even by yourself if you have a story on the theme. This evening is run in collaboration with Spark London (Britain’s first true storytelling club night). Spark London run regular story nights across London. Come and listen or come ready to tell your own story on the theme. Everyone is welcome, no need to be experienced at telling stories.
When: Monday 12th October 2015 at 7.30pm – 9.30pm (There will be breaks where it is possible to leave early.)
Where: The Hackney Attic, Hackney Picturehouse, Mare Street.
The Theme is Borders – Maybe you live on the borders of a group or place, perhaps this is what you like. How have these borders affected you or what events have they sparked? Perhaps crossing borders has produces scary, funny or triumphant moments that had significance. Or maybe you have a story of something that happened in Borders books.
Rehearsal: Open to all Open School East students who want to tell their story on the night, you can tell a story even if you don’t attend this rehearsal it’s up to you. We’ll be available from 6pm at the Hackney Attic (upstairs at the Hackney Picturehouse.)
