Community is not a cliche. For Shenece, her community put her on a path that she continues to draw from and is central to making practicing as an artist possible. In the session Shenece will speak about how she built and maintains relationships with the people and communities that shape, sustain and inspire her practice.
Shenece Oretha is a multidisciplinary artist currently listening from London. Their practice centers on the transformative power of sound, expressed through sound sculptures, multi-channel installations, poetry, workshops, and print. Oretha’s work explores listening as an active practice, embodying sound’s potential to shape space and experience.
