A self-organised broadcasting group (hosted at OSE between 2013 and 2016)

Between 2013 and 2016, we hosted Parallel Radio, a self-organised and informal group of radio enthusiasts who produce a live internet radio show. The group formed out of an initial radio-making workshop, supported by Arts Council England, which took place in late 2013.

The group used OSE to devise, plan and execute an hour-long radio show that is broadcast live on the internet. The structure, topics and themes changed week-to-week and guests are invited to contribute to the show. People of all ages and level of experience were welcome to join in.

Following OSE’s departure from Hackney, Parallel Radio has relocated its activities and continues to shake the internet waves.
